Organ Donation

Did you know?

113,000 men, women and children in the United States are waiting for lifesaving organ transplants.

Every 10 minutes another person is added to the national transplant waiting list.

8,000 deaths occur every year in the U.S. because organs are not donated in time.

22 people die each day because the organ they need is not donated in time.

82% of patients waiting are in need of a kidney.

My kidney transplant at 19 has almost doubled my time here on earth – it has afforded me the opportunity to mature into the woman I am today, to fall in love, get married to Noah and find my purpose in life. And my liver transplant has allowed me to continue to be with the ones I love and get back to living a healthier and fulfilling life – one with a very bright and hopeful future.

I hope by learning about my transplant journey, it showcases the miraculous transformation the gift of life has on the recipient’s life and the positive ripple affect it has on every life the recipient touches. I hope it encourages you to consider being a living donor and inspires you to register today to be an organ, eye and tissue donor.

You have the power to help save up to 8 lives by saying YES to organ donation.
